Our Mission

Light & Hope for Philippines is a Non-Profit organization founded in May 2023 by Gerry and Emalinda (Lindsey) Bouffard. As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, veteran, and minority-owned organization we strive to embody the spirit of service by being the hands and feet of Jesus Christ in the Philippines by offering hope to the lost, love to the forgotten, relief to the suffering, and compassion to the hurting.

Feeding Program

“I skip meals so my children can eat. But sometimes, there’s just nothing.”

— Renato, Father of 3, Leyte

Renato works long hours doing whatever jobs he can find—hauling wood, sweeping streets, even collecting plastic. But it’s often not enough. Some days, he and his wife go without eating just to feed their three children a small portion of rice.

When he heard about a Feeding Program reaching nearby communities, he said, “I prayed that one day it would come to us.”

Medical Ministry

“I thought I was going to die because I couldn’t afford a doctor.”

— Lola Cora, 68, Batangas Province

At 68 years old, Cora lives alone in a small nipa hut. For months, she suffered from severe chest pains and dizziness, but had no money to see a doctor. The nearest clinic is hours away, and transportation is another cost she can’t afford.

“I told God, if this is how I go, then so be it,” she whispered.

Then, one day, a church-led medical outreach team arrived in her village—bringing with them not only medicine, but compassion, prayers, and the message that she is not forgotten.

After a simple check-up and a few medications, Cora said with tears, “This is the first time in years someone looked me in the eye and cared if I lived.”

Clothing Ministry

“My daughter cried when he tried on the shoes—she said they felt like hugs on her feet.”

— Analyn, Mother of 2, Quezon Province

Analyn’s children walk long distances to school—barefoot. Their shoes wore out months ago, and with barely enough money for food, clothing became a luxury they couldn’t afford.

When a local church offered donated clothes and shoes through a ministry, Analyn said, “It was the first time in months my children smiled without pretending.”

There are many more families like hers—grateful, hopeful, and still waiting.

COMMUNITY CENTER

Guided by God’s wisdom and grace, we are committed to establishing new community centers to serve as a shining beacon of His love. The centers will be more than just a building—it will be a place where individuals and families come together to grow in faith, serve one another, and build lasting relationships.

A 10,000-square-foot facility, at an estimated cost of $200,000, is space to not only meet practical needs but will also inspire transformation—providing a welcoming environment for worship, fellowship, and outreach.
